About the Wagner Discography

Welcome to the Wagner Discography. This is probably the most extensive discography of one operatic composer's works available on the Web, perhaps anywhere. The project started in the year 2000. Since the end of that year it's had almost 35 000 hits. In 2002 the Videography was started. In 2003 it got it's own URL. The goal is to include all recordings of complete operas by Richard Wagner available on CD and DVD. Future goals are to include recordings of the earlier operas, complete acts, and recordings on VHS.

The discography includes more than 350 recordings and the videography 25 recordings with over 75 reviews available to tell you which recordings to get or to avoid. Features to help you find the recording you are looking for are the "Artist Index", the "Label Index", the "House Index", and the "Quick Search". The news secion gives you information on the latest update, new releases, and rumours. Visit the discussion board to discuss Wagner. There is also a link section with links to interesting sites, not only about Wagner.
